Harry was Born Again Catholic, active in his  
    church, a member of the Knights of
    Columbus, Over 55 Ballroom Dance Club,
    American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars,
    Toast Masters.  Hobbies: Ballroom Danceing,
    hunting, fishing & playing Poker.
Harry J. Simoneaux Sr. (1921 - 2012)

Harry J. Simoneaux Sr, 91, passed away
peacefully September 18, 2012 after
complications from a fall. Harry survived 26
major battles including Pearl Harbor
. After
WWII, in Donaldsonville, LA, he launched a
cabinet making business, Simoneaux's
Woodworks.  He attended LSU, enjoyed
fishing, hunting, playing Poker, ballroom
dancing. Harry relocated business and family
to Pensacola FL, in 1964.  Harry, a Born
Again Catholic was active in the K of C, Over
55 Ballroom Dance Club, American Legion,
and VFW, etc.  

As a  Carpenter's Mate, first class, Service
No. 274 40 62,USN, Harry survived 26
battles including Pearl Harbor, honorably
discharge from the Navy as a Chief

As a result of a war-time back injury an MD
prescribed ballroom-dance as therapy for
him.  Harry & wife, Margaret scheduled
dancing lessons with the Arthur Murray
Dance Studio in Baton Rouge, LA.  Together
they began a life-long hobby of ballroom
